Presently I don't have an animal painting guide but it is on my radar. Do you particular animals in mind? Furry, feathers, scales? :o)

If you want to learn how to draw animals,
you could try the book "DRAW REAL ANIMALS"
by an American painter Lee Hammond.
I'm learning with the help of this book now,
and it's teaching really!
The book explains how to draw various kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and fish in pencil,
and how to make them look realistic
and true to life.
It's interesting and comprehensive,
but you also need to be persistent and hard-working.

Oil Painting animals

I love sketching animals. It is so easy to give the texture and 'hairy' look. But when I tried to recreate a sketch in oil or acrylic it ended up a flat mess. I look forward to another how-to for animals as well. Thanks for all the great tips you show us!
