Dahlia - Barbara Ramos

My dear friend Barbara shared this photo on a group I belong to and it inspired me to give it a go. I did ask permission and she was delighted that I wanted to paint her dahlia.

I'd found a canvas still in its cellophane in a skip the day before measuring 20" x 18" so saw this as a sign and went for it.

Ive been privileged to take painting workshops with the likes of Sharon Hamilton, Maureen McNaughton, Ronnie Bringle, Brenda Stewart, Peggy Harris and a few more so decided to make my own art!! This was the result...........

Breathtaking!
